Let's Get It Straight

ok, i know i said it would happen, but it finally did - i entered the land of straight, manageable hair. this didn't occur naturally of course. despite all my fantasies that i would one day wake up (Disney princess style) with straight, shiny hair, i finally had to take matters into my own hands and pour vast amount of chemicals into it. ok, it wasn't a vast amount, just sounds more dramatic that way. actually, the process wasn't bad at all, just time consuming. its called the "yuko" straightening system and they do it for you in a salon. after 6 hours, 2 blow dries + 2 flat irons later, i left with the closest i will ever have to straight. the pic here is post shower with a 12 minute blow dry. not a flat iron in site. yes, my curly haired sisters, you too can live the dream...
