We are so excited for Noah's second Christmas. This year he mostly understands what is going on, so celebrating is that much more joyful. Noah's highlights from this season are:
Singing Jingle Bells about 20 times a day (I think he caught on to the tune quickly because of Elmo). He also likes to sing We Wish You A Merry Christmas and then scream, "AND A HAPPY NEW EAR!"
Choosing gifts for his friends and learning to give (not just receive). This has been a tough one as Noah is usually itching to unwrap the gift he has just given, but he does recognize that giving gifts makes people feel happy.
Sitting on Santa's lap....barely....with a bribe of candy cane and a small grimace. This might have gone more smoothly if the 4 year old in front of us hadn't screamed bloody murder when it was her turn...
Saying "Ho! Ho! Ho! Merrrrrrry Christmas!" in his gruff Santa impersonation
Going to see Christmas light displays and saying " Oh..pretty!"
Dancing to Xmas music around the house, especially slow dancing to Bing Crosby with Papa
Roasting marshmallows with Grandpa and Tutu
Decorating sugar cookies. Messy, but tasty and fun!
Mama fast forwarding through the Abominable Snowman parts of the Rudolph movie. Who new claymation could be so scary?
Making our first gingerbread house together and licking our fingers clean.
Noah picking out our tree and then trimming the tree with some special new Noah ornaments (wooden rockets and robots) and then quickly realizing Noah is partial to the breakable glass balls....
Hope you are all enjoying the season with your loved ones! Merry Christmas to you and a HAPPY NEW EAR!
